The cause of the Salem Witch Hunts began because three girls thought they had been put under a spell by Bridget
Bishop. The motive behind this tale could have been anything; anger, boredom, etc. During our age no one would have believed
them, but in the Puritan times the power of God was something to fear. Because of this circumstance, the people believed the
children and convicted Mistress Bishop.
